Roles and Access
The space owner configures employee access to the app and documentation portal.
Licenses
A Gramax Enterprise Server license is required only for users who edit content in Gramax app. Readers and reviewers do not need a license.
Licenses can be reassigned, for example when an employee leaves.

User groups
Since managing AD groups can be time-consuming, Gramax lets you create local groups and then grant them permissions to edit directories or read on the portal.

Roles
A role defines editing and reading permissions according to the role matrix.
For each role, you can assign either individual users or a Gramax group.
Permissions are hierarchical. For example, a space owner also has owner/editor/reader permissions for all directories.
If permissions should be granted to everyone, use Everyone. If to all authenticated users, use Authenticated.
Configure for space
Space owner has maximum permissions: full admin panel management and full view/edit access for all directories.

Configure for directory
Directory owner - automatically assigned to the employee who first publishes the directory; can be reassigned.
Editor - can load directory in the editor app and make changes.
Reviewer - assigned automatically when user is added to a merge request.
Reader - can sign in to reading portal and view this directory. Can also sign in to the editor app, clone repositories they have access to under this role, and switch between their branches — publishing is not available: the button is hidden.
External user - user from another company who signs in to the portal with a one-time code.

Change access for several at once
On the Users, User groups, and Repositories tabs, you can check several rows and pick the bulk-edit action from the dropdown for selected rows — a card opens where you change access or groups for all selected rows at once.
