About the Server

Gramax Enterprise Server (GES) is an extended version of the open-source Gramax edition. It includes an intermediate server that acts as a layer between the application and the Git repository.

Features

  • Authentication via corporate Single Sign-On. Editors get all space settings when they sign in. Readers on the documentation portal only see directories available to them.

  • Advanced access management. You can restrict edit and view permissions for directories both in the app and on the documentation portal.

  • Built-in checks against company style guide rules. Editors can validate texts directly in the interface, while the space owner can manage rules flexibly.

Permissions and roles

In the open-source Gramax edition, there are only 2 roles:

  • Editor - manages all directories without restrictions.

  • Reader - only reads directories on the documentation portal.

Gramax Enterprise Server provides many more roles. Depending on the assigned role, users get access to different directories and actions in the app.
