Templates

Templates help you format standard content — for example, system feature descriptions, technical specifications, and test cases.

• A template is created for a catalog and saved in the repository.

• You can apply a template in any article.

• If an article already has text, the template fully replaces it.

Create a template

1. In the catalog menu, click Templates → + New template.

   

2. Then set the template name and its fields. Fields are properties and can be of two types:

   1. Properties like those used for the catalog: flag, date, single-select, and so on.

   2. A property of type text block.

      Each block needs its own property. If a block is repeated in an article, its text will be duplicated.

   

Apply a template

1. In the menu of a new article, click Choose template and select the template you need.

2. Fill out the template fields.
